We’re all looking forward to the warmer weather, shaking the winter blahs and feeling the sun on us again.  Now’s the time to start thinking about how you will make the most of your time spent on your patio or deck.  New patio tables, outdoor benches and outdoor bar sets can set the tone for your entire summer. The majority of outdoor dining sets are constructed of either metal, wood or even wrought iron and your personal preferences should be the determining factors.  This summer, once again, we’ll discover the most popular styles are the bistro bar sets.  Available in many sizes, shapes and heights, they’re easy to maintain and rearrange according to your needs.  Look for durable materials and finishes that are weather resistant.

You’ll also need to decide what your seats, such as lawn chairs and outdoor bar chairs, will look like. If you entertain a lot, you may wish to select a larger outdoor dining set or outdoor bar set that allows plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably.  If you’re looking for a nice way to dress up that corner near the back lawn, a small bistro outdoor table set with two chairs might do the trick.  Usually, a 30” table top will sufficiently allow enough room for two chairs or bar stools.

A contemporary fire pit will keep you lounging outdoors long after the sun’s gone down and will provide an intimate setting.  Consider adding an umbrella to protect you and your family from the sun’s dangerous rays, a hammock to invite leisure and relaxation under that big oak tree and finally, don’t forget the finishing touches.  Small accent tables are inviting and are a great way to tie different seating arrangements together.  Colorful plastic dishes add personality and are much safer than using glass dishes, especially if little ones are about.
