Audio Glossary

Atomic Clock – An extremely accurate reference clock that operates based on an atomic process.

Wi-Fi – Short for “wireless fidelity” and developed to ensure compatibility among products that communicate data wirelessly.

Audio – The audible part of a transmitted signal; what one hears.

FM – Short for “frequency modulation”; modulation of the frequency of the radio carrier wave

Receiver – Electronic circuit that receives its input from an antenna, uses electronic filters to separate wanted radio signals.
