Mirror Glossary

Art Deco – Those mirrors from the early 20th century that are accompanied by geometric designs, with frames made of plastic and lots of bright primary colors

Beveled Mirrors – Mirrors with thick beveling, or etching, around the edges that catch the light and give off soft edges

Bleaching – Technique used in some mirror frames to lighten the wood coloring

Cheval Mirror – Made to stand on the floor, but are adjustable and can be inclined or pivoted

Full Length Mirror – Mirror that’s either attached to the wall or free-standing that allows you to see your complete self

Leaning Mirror – Those mirrors that are full length and incorporates an easel for easier mobility
