Daybed Glossary

Daybed Accents- Pillows, curtains or bed skirts that accent your daybed’s cover.

Bolster Pillow – Round or cylindrical shaped pillows used to accent a daybed

High Riser or Pop Up Trundle – Additional bedding that has mechanisms that allow it to “pop up” from the floor and secure to the daybed mattress and becomes a larger bed.

Camel Back – Back of the sofa/daybed that rises in height to meet in the middle, its highest peak.

Futons and Chaise Lounges- Names that are sometimes used interchangeably daybed.  One main difference is a futon’s back drops, while a daybed’s back is stabilized.
