Console Table Glossary and Common References
Cabriole Legs – A table leg style that many associate with Queen Anne style furniture. It presents as a curved, outward at the knees and in towards the bottom, or “ankle”.
Corbel – A small piece of wood placed on the side of a table, dresser or nightstand for extra support.
Mission Table – Indicative of a squared edge tabletop
Inlays – Contrasting wood finishes that’s set in a piece of furniture for decorative purposes.
Distressed – Technique used to “age” furniture to make it appear vintage or antique.
