TV Stand Glossary

TV Cart – Wheeled stand that makes movement easy due to its coasters.  Ideal for those rooms where the sun comes in at different windows throughout the day.

Entertainment Center: Cabinet that provides storage in shelves, drawers and cabinets for a home’s electronics.

Medium Density Fiberboard – Engineered wood that consists of fiberboard and is compressed with wood fibers.  Less expensive than true woods, but very durable.

Media Storage – Area in an entertainment center reserved for DVDs and CDs

Pier Cabinet – Taller television stand that showcases “stacked” up by the use of shelving units.
