Bunk Bed Glossary

Standard Bunk Beds – This is one bed that is supported above another and is fixed in its design.

Stackable Bunk Beds – These differ from standard bunks in that the beds can be separated into two separate beds.

Loft Bunk Bed – These beds elevate high from the floor for additional useable floor space or they can accommodate a bottom bunk.

L-Shaped Bunk Beds – A Loft Bed with a matching two that can be positioned in many ways for variation.

Trundle Beds – The “trundle” is either a drawer that can be used as storage or a smaller bed that easily rolls under the primary bed.  Assuming the trundle is a bed, one can easily accommodate three sleeping areas (bottom and top bunk and the sleep trundle).
