Most Used Definitions for Office Furniture

Desk Hutch – Cabinet, usually with side doors that sits atop a desk and provides additional storage

L-Shaped Desk – A desk that provides workspace to one side and usually has additional storage such as drawers and cabinets.  These can usually be placed on either side of the desk, further accommodating the user.

Computer Desk – Computer desks are usually found with several openings in the back for easier access to computer cords.  Many have open backs.

Credenza – Bookcase or desk with no legs that works in tandem with another desk and usually completes an L shape work space.

Bow Front Desk – A desktop that curves outward on the front.

Desk Pedestals – Used to describe the drawers on one or both sides of the desk.
